Fancy an All-American meal? or gourmet burgers with a wide variety of meat you can choose from? or would you rather just unwind over wine and share a few good laughs, in vino veritas, with your barkada?
I chanced upon this lively little nook in Serendra through a group deal. I was able to purchase a coupon that slashed our bill by a whopping 50 percent. Would you believe that we got all these goodies for less than a thousand pesos? That, my friend, is what you call foodie happiness.
Murray & D’Vine boasts of serving American style gourmet burgers and sliders and is well-known for their signature heart-shaped bun. This is a good burger place to visit regardless of your meat preference.
They have a wide selection of gourmet burgers that vary from the healthy lean meats to the oh-so-sinful ones. Indulge in a 1/2 lb patty of pure beef, chicken, ostrich, turkey, fish or veggie meat cooked just the way you like it.Enough with the long introduction, I guess it’s time to walk you through our Murray and D’Vine dining experience. For starters we had nachos with cheese. This is just your typical nacho plate, regular-sized crunchy nachos topped with cheese and jalapeno. Nothing too special about this dish but I have to say it’s a good meal starter. The combination of the slightly salty nacho chips and creamy cheese indeed left us wanting for more food. For our main course, we opted for the Beef n’ Bacon burger and Joe Mama’s Spanish baby back ribs. The burger was cooked just the way I like it— well done. One thing that I liked about it is that it remained tender and juicy. One common problem that I have with well-done burgers is that it is almost always overcooked thus the loss of flavor and my appetite. Kudos to Murray and D’vine for not killing my burger experience this time around. I was able to finish almost all of it and I enjoyed my every bite. The ribs didn’t let me down too. Though it didn’t give me that “I-almost-forgot-my-name-with-one-bite” experience, it was good enough to satisfy the meat lover in me. Their meat had that “fall-off-the-bones” goodness which I like and with just the right level of tang and sweetness.
Overall, it was a decent meal. I came in hungry and I left full and satisfied plus I did not have to spend a fortune. My take on it? It was a rather good way to start the night.
Next up is the Star of the Night: Drinks! haha
