Casa Verde (Cebu City)

Brian's Ribs

Who doesn't love yummy pork ribs? I don't know about you but I am a sucker for it. Looking for the best ribs can become addicting. No two ribs are ever the same and every lip smackin' experience leaves you wanting to try out more and continue your search for the best one. Restaurants offering this as their specialty usually add their own unique twang to it.

Casa Verde in Cebu is one of the places that serves good ribs. Fall off the bones, finger-lickin' good type of ribs. They serve baked pork ribs smothered in a generous portion of sweet, tangy bbq sauce. It doesn't hurt that it comes in a hefty portion too. One order is good for two people already but I wouldn't be surprised if you could be able to finish one all by yourself in a single sitting.

Golden Chicken Fingers

We were in for a late-night dinner. Fortunately, our orders arrived just in time. I also loved the golden chicken fingers. It was tender, crisp and tasted fresh. The honey mustard dressing made it all more hard to put down. Thankful and happy for our night's fill, we decided to take our satisfaction a notch higher with everyone's favorite, ice cold beer.

I would definitely visit Casa Verde whenever I'm in Cebu again. Aside from the good food, the ambiance is great too. Enjoy! :)

Update:
I was able to visit Casa Verde again last Sinulog 2013. The place was jam-packed. Hungry, voracious eaters were everywhere. Well, actually, it is not a thing of wonder since the food is really good.

Just had food there yesterday and I must admit it was some of THE worst food I have had in all of Cebu! The selection is lousy, the seating is a joke, the waiters were slow, the food was not very tasty and the proportions were too small compared to a real American Restaurant, and the prices are outrageous compared to Philippine standards. I will never eat thete again in my life!
